The Australian Handball Council (AHC) comprises representatives from the three handball playing states of Australia: New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. There is also an Executive Director who is voted in by a majority vote of the three state delegates. There is also a Secretary/Treasurer who is nominated by one of the states and is voted in by a majority of the three state delegates.
The Australian Handball Council acts under the auspice of the Constitution of Australian Handball.
The AHC meets about four times a year to consider matters of urgency, the nomination to the Australian Hall of Fame and primarily to oversee the successful running of the annual championship carnival at Easter.
The Australian Handball Council has voting rights and a place for a delegate as a member of the World Handball Council.
